Candlestick is being built. We’re welcoming a small group of founding churches first.

How it works

One platform, many independent churches

Every church on Candlestick has its own app, its own address and its own members. Candlestick provides the technology; each church decides everything else.

Your own address and branding

Your app lives at yourchurch.candlesticks.church, with your name, logo and colours. On Standard and Full, it can use your church’s own domain instead. Candlestick appears only as a small credit.

A starting point that fits

Start from a template for a Message assembly or a church, then change anything. Templates set sensible defaults, such as how members are addressed and who sees what, so a small church can go live quickly.

Who sees what

Every item has an access level, and your church sets the default:

  • Public: anyone, without signing in
  • Congregation: everyone your church has approved
  • Members: full members only

Choose whether new sign-ups need approval. Service times and your About page can stay public, so visitors can find you.

Live streaming from YouTube or Vimeo

Keep streaming on the YouTube channel or Vimeo account you already use. Your live service appears in the app, and members get a notification when you go live. Connecting your account is optional and adds automatic recordings and reminders.

Storage for your recordings

On Standard and Full, Candlestick stores and streams your sermons and music. The storage fee includes 250 GB or 500 GB, with no charges for streaming or members’ downloads. Extra storage is $5 per 100 GB a month. You won’t need a cloud account of your own.

Installs without an app store

Members open your address once and add it to their home screen. It opens like any app, works on older phones, and keeps saved content for when there is no data.

From registering to going live

  1. Register your church. A short form: your church’s name, country, size and how to reach you.
  2. Talk with us. We call to show you the app and agree the right package.
  3. Approval and invitation. We set up your church and email your senior admin an invitation, with a checklist of what to have ready.
  4. Set up your church. Your admin signs in at your church’s address and follows a guided setup: logo and colours, locations, service times, sign-up questions and who sees what.
  5. Invite your members. Share your address. Members sign up and, if you choose, your admins approve them.
